DC Comics is one of two major American comic book publisher company (the other being Marvel Comics). Founded as National Allied Publications in 1934, it is currently is a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Discovery. Among its most successful characters are Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Shazam, Teen Titans, Watchmen and Suicide Squad.
Phantom publications[]
DC's first involvement with The Phantom was as a producer of a four-part miniseries in 1988.
As the miniseries was proved to be so successful it was followed by a regular series published from 1989-1990. Plans were in place to continue the series but due to low sales the series was cancelled after the 13th issue.
